The house was built before the 1870s in the traditional style with stones and thick walls.
Even though the house is in the village of Flaujagues, it remains completely private. Close enough to walk to buy the morning baguette, but far enough to be private. The garden is very large, and bordered by other well planted gardens and manor houses. The house is at one end of the garden on the river, the small country road is at the other end, so it isn’t at all a disturbance.
The house is perfect for 8/9 guests.
The house is perfect for a wonderful family vacation, very comfortable and relaxing with many activities available in the area. Sports (tennis, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, golf, biking, hiking, etc) but also cultural activities, tourism, wine tasting, etc..
Salons, Dining room :
Relax in front of our wood-burning stove or stay cool during the hot summer months! The room opens south onto the rose garden and north onto the cool tree covered garden.
The large dining room opens onto the living room and rose garden. The table seats 10 comfortably.
The small salon also has a wood-burning stove, and is equipped with a plasma TV and stereo system it opens east onto the river terrace. It is our library/TV room.

The Kitchen :
The large country kitchen opens on three sides onto the garden. We love cooking (and cook well !) so it is fully equipped with a 2 oven LACANCHE cooker and a wood-burning stove GODIN , and all necessary cooking paraphernalia.

The bedrooms
Up the spectacular stone stairway are the bedrooms, two are open onto the river. The "Red Room" has a private Italian shower and WC.
The "Blue room" faces east over the river, has a double bed and a private shower, WC and sink. The morning sun streams. The "Red Room" also faces east over the river, but has a private Italian shower and WC. We’ve kept the old fashioned wall paper and added modern features in the bathroom.The "Yellow room" faces south, with a river and rose garden view. There is a king size bed (180cm or double bed 2 X 90cm) a private shower and WC. .
