The Village

Flaujagues is 15 kms from St Emilion, the famous medievel village and vineyards, and a designated UNESCO world heritage site.
Flaujagues is 50 km from Bordeaux, and about an hour and a half from the Atlantic coast and the Bassin d’Arcachon, famous for its beaches and oysters and the Medoc region, famous for its excellent wines.
Flaujagues lies in the Entre-deux-Mers, renowned for its wines and wineyards,  fabulous medieval villages, and multitude of hiking trails. There are 4 golf courses nearby .

There is a restaurant in Flaujagues. In a radius of 7 km, you can find anything you need from big food markets, to local country markets, local produce farmers. During the summer, a favorite is dining in the “marches nocturnes”, the nighttime markets, where all the local gourmet specialties are offered as well as music.

Gastronomy  :

The south west is a gourmet region of France, the restaurants range from the Hostellerie de Plaisance in St Emilion with its starred chef to La Puce, a restaurant for the local vineyard workers. An amazing diversity of tastes, from a side a beef to la Lamproie (a local fish), from pigeon to oysters from Arguin. The choice is yours and we will be pleased to point you in the right direction.
If cooking is your pleasure, we will tell you where to shop for the best products and wines.

There is much to see and visit, from St Emilion to Sarlat, from the Château de Montaigne to the château de Montesquieu, from the Dune du Pyla to the caves of Lascaux. Too much to see in one visit but we can help you pinpoint your interests.
